Heather Newman serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for Philip Morris USA, where she leads the company's efforts to responsibly manufacture and market its brands to adult tobacco consumers in a financially disciplined way.
Previously, Heather held a number of brand marketing leadership roles, including Vice President & General Manager, Marlboro, and Director of Brand Management, Skoal, for U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company, the world’s leading producer and marketer of smokeless tobacco.
Heather has also served as the Director of Strategy and Business Development for Altria Client Services, dedicating her time to growing the Altria Ventures Fund. Since 1999, she has held various leadership roles in Altria Group Distribution Company and in Brand Management for Philip Morris USA as well as John Middleton.
Heather received her undergraduate business degree in 1999 from Saint Joseph's University's Erivan K Haub School of Business with a concentration in Food Marketing and also completed her M.B.A. at Saint Joseph's University Erivan K Haub School of Business with a concentration in Marketing.
She serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Mentoring Partnership and the Executive Advisory Council for the University of Richmond Robins School of Business, as well as on the Board of Visitors for St. Joseph's University.
