    I started my employment as an intern with Philip Morris USA.  I was drawn to the corporate world as a result of the dedicated recruitment process I experienced on campus.  I assumed my internship would be a clerical job, but from the beginning I was included in meetings as a member of the team.  By the end of the summer, the results of my project were incorporated into the work of the department. 
     
    I experienced a smooth transition to full-time employment by starting in the same accounting group in which I interned.  In two years, I have changed roles twice, which has enabled me to vary my work and interact with different functions and individuals within the company.
     
    In addition to the day to day interactions, I have benefited from the small group meetings with senior management. They have proven to be very approachable and open to business needs and concerns.  It is also enjoyable to work for a company that gives so much back to the community through corporate giving as well as the Altria Companies Employee Community Fund.
