Mike Szymanczyk serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Altria Group, Inc. and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Philip Morris USA Inc. He was appointed Altria Group's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in March 2008. Mike was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Philip Morris USA, in August 2002. He served as Chairman, Philip Morris USA, from April 2002 through August 2002; prior to that appointment Mike served as President and Chief Executive Officer Philip Morris USA, from November 1997 through April 2002. He joined the company in 1990 as Senior Vice President of Sales. Previously, he had extensive consumer products experience in sales and marketing at Procter & Gamble and Kraft.
