Risk Assessments And Planning

Each Altria operating company develops an annual compliance plan outlining its compliance priorities against the Altria Standards. These plans include priorities based on systematic assessments of potential legal, policy and reputation risks facing the company.

Speaking Up

Personal accountability is a critical part of Altria's compliance program. All employees are responsible for speaking up to ask compliance-related questions or to report potential wrongdoing. The Integrity HelpLine provides an anonymous alternative for employees to raise issues or seek guidance.

Investigations

Allegations of wrongdoing are taken seriously, investigated and, if found to have merit, addressed with appropriate disciplinary and corrective action. Altria and its companies do not tolerate retaliation against employees who, in good faith, raise compliance concerns or allegations.
