Altria Group’s compliance program starts with our Mission and Values. It is structured to meet the U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines using Altria’s Standards for Compliance & Integrity Programs.

Altria and its companies provide all employees compliance guidance with a Code of Conduct, clear company policies and compliance training matched to their job responsibilities.


Feedback & Recognition

  • In April 2011, Altria sought feedback on its Code of Conduct from Corpedia, a recognized ethics and compliance training advisory service that has critiqued the codes of conduct of more than 1,600 organizations. Corpedia graded Altria’s Code an A. Here is an excerpt from the firm’s feedback:

"The overall grade for Altria Group, Inc.’s Code of Conduct falls within the top 1% of all Consumer Products Manufacturers Codes reviewed by Corpedia, and within the top 1% when benchmarked against Corpedia’s entire Code review database to date."
