It is essential to Altria Group that we embed the importance of financial integrity throughout our businesses and employees.  That is why we provide employees with related training and professional development opportunities.  As part of Altria Group's Compliance and Integrity program, employees are required to take Web-based training courses relevant to their jobs.  The following Web-based training courses address issues relating to financial and fiscal integrity:

• Your Responsibilities for Financial Reporting training covers the basics of financial reporting and explores how internal controls work in public companies.
• Insider Trading training explains the meaning of insider trading and why it is important, describes the meaning of inside information and identifies those who may be considered insiders.

Due to the highly technical and complex nature of the financial reporting, financial controls and disclosures processes, many Finance Department employees choose to take additional courses offered outside of the Altria family of companies to keep abreast of the latest accounting and financial reporting requirements.
