Altria Group, Inc. is the name of the parent company of Philip Morris International and Philip Morris USA. This name change was effective January 27, 2003. All news releases in this Financial News section of our Web site, prior to this change, will refer to the parent company's former name of Philip Morris Companies Inc.

Please note that the Board of Directors of Altria Group, Inc. (Altria) voted on January 30, 2008, to authorize the spin off of 100% of the shares of Philip Morris International Inc. (PMI) to Altria's shareholders. On March 28, Altria Group, Inc. completed the spin off of 100% of the shares of Philip Morris International to Altria’s shareholders.

As of December 31, 2007, Altria Group holds a 28.6% economic and voting interest in SABMiller plc.
