Philip Morris USA’s web site, which features the company’s position on smoking and health, youth smoking prevention information, resources for people who have decided to quit smoking and countless other resources, is now available in Spanish.

"We sell a product that is addictive and causes serious diseases, and we believe it’s important that as many people as possible have access to our company’s positions on issues related to smoking," said Michael A. Farriss, Philip Morris USA’s senior vice president of communications and government affairs. "By translating our web site, we’re able to share these positions with a growing segment of the country’s population."

Philip Morris USA launched its web site, philipmorrisusa.com, in 1999 and now attracts about 250,000 visits per month. Among other things, visitors are able to find:

• Information about the company’s positions on smoking and health issues
• Resources about how to talk to children about not smoking
• Resources for people who have decided to quit smoking
• Details about the company’s support for FDA regulation of tobacco
• The company’s position on issues ranging from public place smoking and secondhand smoke to litter and the environment.
