K.C. Crosthwaite serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for Philip Morris USA, where he oversees Philip Morris USA and John Middleton. K.C. leads both companies' efforts to responsibly manufacture and market their brands to adult tobacco consumers in a financially disciplined way.
Before assuming his current role, K.C. served as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development. Prior to that, he was Vice President & General Manager, Marlboro, where he was responsible for Marlboro across its entire product portfolio.
Since joining Philip Morris USA in 1997, K.C. has held various leadership roles involving brand management, including at John Middleton, and sales. K.C. also led Altria Ventures international efforts with innovative tobacco products.
A graduate of Marquette University, K.C. earned his MBA from Providence College. K.C. currently serves on the Board of Directors for UNCF.
Greg Ray serves as Senior Vice President, Smokeable Manufacturing, where he oversees Philip Morris USA’s smokeable tobacco brands. He has held this position since November 2013.
Greg most recently served as Vice President, Manufacturing, for U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company where he oversaw Smokeless Tobacco Processing and Manufacturing. During his more than 20 years with the Altria family of companies, Greg has held a variety of positions in Quality and Compliance, Altria Consumer Engagement Services, PM USA Manufacturing and Research, Development & Engineering. While Director of Plant Operations for the Park 500 facility, he led the construction of an innovative Natural Treatment System to reduce nutrient levels in treated wastewater from tobacco processing.
Greg is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He serves on the Board of Directors for Keep America Beautiful and as a trustee for the Historic Richmond Foundation.
Heather Newman serves as Vice President & General Manager, Marlboro, leading the brand’s marketing strategies. She has held this position since August 2016.
A year before joining PM USA, Heather served as the Skoal Director of Brand Management for U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company, the world’s leading producer and marketer of smokeless tobacco.
Previously, Heather served as the Director of Strategy and Business Development for Altria Client Services dedicating her time to growing the Altria Ventures Fund. Since 1999, Heather has held various leadership roles in Altria Group Distribution Center and in Brand Management for Philip Morris USA as well as John Middleton Company. During this time, Heather also completed her Masters of Business Administration in 2005 from Saint Joseph’s University Erivan K Haub School of Business in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a concentration in Marketing.
Before joining the Altria family of companies, Heather received her undergraduate business degree in 1999 from Saint Joseph’s University Erivan K Haub School of Business in Philadelphia, with a concentration in Food Marketing.
Sarah Knakmuhs is Vice President, Heated Tobacco Products, leading efforts to bring innovative heat-not-burn products to the American market on PM USA’s behalf. She has held this position since August 2016.
Previously, Sarah served as Vice President, Investor Relations for Altria Client Services, developing and implementing strategies and maintaining a strong relationship with the investment community. Her prior role was Director, Federal Government Affairs and Political Outreach for Altria Client Services, where she was responsible for developing and implementing federal legislative strategies focusing on corporate tax, corporate governance, wine, and employee benefits issues. She also oversaw Altria’s political programs. Sarah has been with the Altria family of companies since 2004.
Prior to joining Altria, Sarah was Tax Counsel at the United States Chamber of Commerce. Before joining the Chamber, she was a manager in the international practice at KPMG’s Washington National Tax Practice where she advised clients on a wide range of tax issues.
Sarah received a B.S. in Accounting from Miami University and received her law degree from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago.
