Web-based Training

Altria Group and its companies utilize a library of Web-based training modules and have found Web-based training to be an effective way to reach large numbers of employees. These training modules offer employees an opportunity to experience and react to potentially complex compliance situations that they may face in their day-to-day work.

For example, Web-based training about the Code contains "real-life, on-the-job scenarios." Web training is designed to be engaging, interactive, thought-provoking, and informative.

Other Web-based training courses are available to increase awareness about specific risks, along with broad compliance and integrity topic areas. Mandatory training courses are distributed to employees based on an employee's role, responsibilities and function within his or her organization. These courses complement and support other training programs, including live training that goes more in-depth on topics, and help to enhance employees' understanding of their obligations under the Code.

Compliance Institute

The Compliance Institute is comprised of dedicated individuals with skills and expertise in training. The Compliance Institute helps promote the effective education of our companies' employees on their compliance obligations. It provides an educational forum to explore real-life compliance scenarios that employees encounter on the job and how to handle them.
