Ineligible Applications

Religious organizations, such as churches and synagogues, for religious activities.

Political or lobbying organizations or those supporting the candidacy of a particular individual.

Third parties seeking donations on behalf of not-for-profit organizations. The donation must be made directly to a not-for-profit rather than, for example, to a business partner making a request on behalf of a not-for-profit organization.

Grants to individuals.

Not-for-profit entities in foreign countries. Payments must be made to a United States-based 501(c)(3) organization [or qualify as a 501(c)(3) equivalency].

Capital campaigns, endowments or building drives.

Requests for general operating expenses.

Youth or adult athletic teams or leagues.
-
Public or commercial radio and television programs.

Requests from past grantees that have failed to provide charitable contributions acknowledgment forms or other required documentation.
