Mr. Gifford is Chief Executive Officer of Altria Group, Inc. Prior to his election as Chief Executive Officer effective April 16, 2020, Mr. Gifford served as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer since May 2018 where he was responsible for Altria's financial functions as well as its core tobacco businesses, sales and distribution business and Consumer & Market Insights team. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from March 1, 2015 to May 2018. Since joining Philip Morris USA in 1994, Mr. Gifford has served in numerous leadership roles in Strategy & Business Development, Finance, Marketing Information & Consumer Research and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Philip Morris USA Inc.

Mr. Gifford previously served as a director of Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV (Euronext: ABI) (NYSE: BUD) and Catalyst Inc.

He is a member of the Executive Committee.
